Meet Our New Friends...

Meet Our New Friends...

For over a decade - art, film, comedy, family entertainment and multimedia - have been key elements of the Big Chill, right alongside a varied, interesting and unique music line-up.

With this in mind, we're creating spaces for even more art, film, comedy and literature at the festival this year, and to fill this space, we are delighted and proud to announce exclusive partnerships with the ICA, BFI Southbank, Underbelly and Roundhouse Studios.

Our new friends would like to introduce themselves, and give us an idea of what they will bringing to Eastnor.

"The ICA is delighted to be a part of The Big Chill 2008 and will be throwing into the (media) mix an enticing selection of ICA films and specially-curated art and music collaborations."
Institute of Contemporary Arts

"The BFI Southbank are thrilled to be further developing their relationship with The Big Chill. We are looking forward to going al fresco and will be collaborating on delivering an exciting and ground-breaking film and audio-visual programme at this years Big Chill festival."
BFI Southbank

"Underbelly is delighted and excited to be working with The Big Chill in 2008. Together, we will create a dedicated Underbelly comedy area at the Big Chill Festival which we hope will be the tip of the iceberg in terms of our ongoing relationship with The Big Chill. This is a great fit - two companies with a commitment to strong and eclectic programming, and the best in live entertainment. The Big Chill lies at the heart of the summer music festival season whilst Underbelly has emerged as one of the most successful venues at the Edinburgh Festival and is at the forefront of the UK's live comedy industry. We hope to bring something exciting and different to the new comedy tent at what is already a fantastic weekend festival."
Underbelly

"Camden's legendary Roundhouse will be coming to the Big Chill this year to establish the new Roundhouse Big Round Tent. The iconic venue which made its name in the 1960s with PinkFloyd and The Doors reopened in 2006 and has played host to the likes of the Beastie Boys and Paul McCartney. In addition to the performances in the venue, the new Roundhouse Studios has developed an exciting programme of creative projects for 13 - 25 year olds. For the younger Big Chillers who may want a little more interactivity at the festival than their older counterparts, the Roundhouse Big Round Tent will be running a programme of creative activities for aspiring musicians, artist and media producers including the chance to make special radio broadcasts for Big Chill Radio, Film, Singing/Songwriting and MC workshops. For young artists there will be graffiti and photography projects. More details coming soon."
