The Mighty Boosh - Biography

Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding, AKA The Boosh, won the Perrier Award for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Festival 1998.

During their residency at the Hen and Chickens theatre the following year they built up a cult following.

In 1999 they took their new show, Arctic Boosh, to the Edinburgh Festival, sold out every night and won a nomination for the Perrier Award.

In 2000 they performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and won the Festival's Barry Humphries Award. That same year Julian and Noel starred in the acclaimed short film, Sweet, which won a Bafta nomination.

In 2001 their BBC Radio 4 show, The Mighty Boosh, was awarded the Douglas Adams Award for Innovative Comedy Writing.

'The Mighty Boosh', their TV series, was screened on BBC3 and BBC2 in 2004. The second series followed in 2005 and picked up the NME Award for 'Best TV Show' in 2006.

Noel & Julian returned to the stage in 2006 for 'The Mighty Boosh Live', a sell-out National tour ending with a five night run at The Brixton Academy and have just announced details of a new show which they will be touring in the autumn of 2008.

The Third Series of The Mighty Boosh is currently airing on BBC3 and has been a huge hit with both critics and fans, attracting almost a million viewers each week.
