What's your night called?
Keeping It House
What have you been up to before Keeping It House?
Used to run Keeping The Faith, a Northern Soul night at t'House. Have been DJing all over for more years than I care to remember, all the way back to acid house and beyond!
I suspect the clue's in the name, but what's the music policy for Keeping It House?
House music all night long! Mainly classic house from the late 80s and early 90s, but we often start the night with Balearic stuff and newer house stuff does get played too.
Who has played, or is going to play at Keeping It House?
In the past, Mike Pickering from The Hacienda, Boy's Own's Terry Farley, 'Evil' Eddie Richards, Trevor Fung have all played. We've got Andy Smith from Portishead, Lol Hammond and hopefully (fingers crossed) Fabio coming to play in the next few months.
If money was no object, and you could book any line-up of DJs and bands living or dead, who would play?
Ron Hardy, Larry Levan, Graeme Park, Larry Heard, Frankie Knuckles, Kerri Chandler, Ten City & Inner City live.

Playing with the kids.

The family down the local Turkish restaurant on a Friday night.

What are you working on at present?
My day job is putting out TV advertised albums for Sony BMG so nothing very cool!
What would most like to achieve over the next five years?
Cook a perfect lobster stew like you get in Forells in Menorca.
Highlight of your life?
Birth of kids (though being at the Nou Camp, 26th May 1999 comes a close second).
At a festival - tent, B&B, or hotel for you, and why?
Big Chill = tent, Southport = chalet.
What was your Top Big Chill moment?
I've been lucky enough to DJ at the festival a couple of times over the years and I remember playing in one of the bars on a Saturday afternoon a few years ago and the whole tent dancing and singing along to my last tune - Love Sensation - that was ace. Oh and when Larry Heard dropped Energy Flash.
Describe the essence of The Big Chill in a few words...
Lots of fun.
When are you on next?
Last Friday of the month apart from April when we have our 1st Birthday on the 18th.
