Animat will perform at The Big Chill festival 2008 A-Z line up | Ticket infoFollowing on from their acclaimed re-scores of ‘Belleville Rendezvous’ and ‘The Straight Story’, new Big Chill Recordings signings Animat turn their hands to German director Veit Helmer’s award winning dark comedy ‘Tuvalu’ (1999)
Set in a dilapidated swimming baths and fuelled by dreams of escape to a tropical paradise, ‘Tuvalu’ is an inspired, quirky and stylish tale which sits somewhere in the tradition of Marc Caro’s ‘Delicatessen’ and Kusturica’s ‘Black Cat, White Cat’.
Established Mediamix favourites Animat will accompany the action with their trademark mix of their own dubby atmospheric downtempo and nuggets from their eclectic DJ archive.
