Each month at The Big Chill House Tony and Gavin spin DJ sets of new and unreleased mixes, mash-ups and edits from the CDR archive, as well as various 'YouSendIt' attachments sent by producers worldwide. Joining them are members of the CDR community who are given free reign to play their works in progress and tracks that have inspired their creative process.
Who are ya?
burntprogress is a production company interested in how people use technology to express their own creativity.
We are two passionate individuals:
Tony Nwachukwu., founder, Co-director. A music producer, DJ and music tech buff. He was a member of the band Attica Blues (of Mo’ Wax fame) and has worked with the likes of Macy Gray, UNKLE, The Cinematic Orchestra and Ben Folds.
Gavin Alexander, Co-director. A film & TV producer, who has produced award-winning short films and critically acclaimed arts documentaries which have been distributed around the world. He also DJ s and is all-round culture junkie.
What's your night called?
CDR Special. CDR is an event that provides a platform for electronically savvy music producers, artists and music fans to hear and share new ideas, beats, mash-ups, remixes with like-minded people in a venue with a great sound system. It was created out of a need to develop a music movement, which operates outside conventional structures, by sharing experiences, demystifying technology and broadening horizons beyond playlists, genres and charts.
What's the music policy for your night?
a DJ set of electronic music from the CDR archives and tracks posted via the numerous file transfer portals

Banging soundsystem is a must.
Plenty of Free food & drink (especially JD & coke) for us & mates..at least.
Crowd who are open-minded, soulful & passionate about music.
Ideal evening chilling at home?
With friends & family, breaking bread over a great bottle of wine & some tasty ‘santa maria’.
Favourite places?
Caracas, Puglia, Melbourne & bed.
What are you working on at the moment?
burntprogress 2.1 - a double album featuring tracks developed at CDR due for an autumn release quickly followed by taking over the world!!
Highlight of your life so far?
Watching people’s lives being changed after hearing their track for the 1st time at CDR.
At a festival - tent, B&B, or hotel for you, and why?
Anywhere with a clean shower and a ceiling.
What was your Top Big Chill moment?
Seeing the excited faces of Big Chill attendees hearing their tracks being played at last year’s CDR set at the Festival
